Mitsubishi Estate Asia (MEA) is subsidiary of Mitsubishi Estate Co. Ltd, a major real estate developer in Japan. Established in Singapore in 2008, MEA opened its Sydney branch in 2021 to strengthen local ties. Since 2016, MEA has invested in Australian real estate projects, totalling over A$1.5 billion in equity, with a portfolio value exceeding A$10 billion as of March 2024. MEA’s diverse portfolio includes office buildings, residential properties, hotels, and more.

The AJBCC nominated representative is Yuzo Nishiyama, Head of Australia.

Orica is one of the world’s leading mining and infrastructure solutions provider, Orica operates in over 100 countries with 12,500 employees worldwide. They specialise in explosives, blasting systems, mining chemicals, and geotechnical monitoring, while also offering digital solutions and comprehensive services for sustainable resource management. Orica is advancing decarbonisation efforts by developing the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub with Origin Energy, aiming to produce renewable hydrogen and low-carbon ammonia.

The AJBCC nominated representative is Marc Smith, Vice President Corporate Development (Strategy).

Octopus Investments Australia is an energy infrastructure manager dedicated to maximising investor returns while driving positive change for communities and the environment. With a focus on data and technology, Octopus invests in Australia’s energy future, managing a portfolio of over $11bn in wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Its team of 50+ professionals in Melbourne and Sydney possesses diverse expertise, enabling them to oversee projects from inception to completion and create an integrated portfolio of renewable energy assets. Octopus Australia is forging strategic partnerships with Japan’s major trading companies to secure clean energy for future needs.

The AJBCC nominated representative is Sam Reynolds, Chief Executive Officer.

Planum Partners is a boutique investment bank with offices in Melbourne and Sydney, specialising in renewable energy, infrastructure, circular economy, and real estate. Planum Partners lead bids for major projects, manage assets, and provide project, financing, and M&A advice. With strong ties to Japanese trading houses and banks in Australia, they’ve advised on multiple transactions involving Japanese parties and clients.
