This prestigious honour, the highest awarded to a civilian by Japan, is a testament to Dr. Mimura’s outstanding contributions to the Japanese business world and to fostering strong ties between Japan and Australia.

As Chairman of the Japan-Australia Business Cooperation Committee (JABCC) for many years, Dr Mimura showed outstanding leadership and guidance of the JABCC and the bilateral business relationship. This award is a testament to his warm friendship towards Australia and contributions to the bilateral relationship.
