Advisory Committees

Crucial to the success of any membership organisation is active engagement by members.

Our Advisory Committees bring together like-minded members in pursuit of shared objectives, and enhance our ability to develop activities, events and advocacy that advance the Australia-Japan business relationship. They also create excellent, focused networking opportunities among our members and with the broader Australia-Japan business community.

Our Advisory Committees

Clean Energy Transition (CET)

This committee provides specialist guidance to the AJBCC and promotes and facilitates initiatives and events that support the Australia-Japan energy partnership and its pursuit of a pathway to a clean and sustainable energy transition, in line with the commitment of both countries to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

Real Estate Investment (REI)

This committee works to promote and facilitate joint business and investment opportunities between Australian and Japanese companies and capital providers in the real estate-related markets of Australia and Japan.

Innovation, Technology & Startups (ITS)

This committee encourages greater Australia-Japan collaboration on building innovation, technology and start-up ecosystems including by holding regular forums and events.

Gender Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (GEDI)

This committee focuses on promoting gender equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Australia-Japan business community, by fostering a more inclusive environment and driving initiatives that support these values.

Defence, Security & Space Industries (DSSI)

This committee’s goal is to help facilitate an environment conducive to Australia-Japan joint ventures and innovation-sharing, so as to strengthen the technological and strategic capabilities of both nations and the linkages between relevant businesses in Australia and Japan.
