The Clean Energy Transition Advisory Committee focuses on Australia and Japan’s shared commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. It addresses critical aspects of the clean energy transition, including reviewing market and policy developments, identifying opportunities and assessing challenges that may influence these ambitions. The Committee also examines investment, regulatory, and industry-related considerations that impact the energy transition, ensuring its work remains highly relevant to businesses and organisations in both nations.

In addition to these strategic efforts, the Committee actively supports, curates and leads events such as conferences, boardroom discussions and networking opportunities and provides related informed thought leadership through its engagement with governments, their agencies, businesses and academia. Through these initiatives (and the guidance, support and advice it offers the Board of the AJBCC), the Committee provides a platform for leaders in the energy transition field to collaborate, to stay informed and attuned to opportunities and challenges that Australia and Japan’s clean energy goals present.
