14 May Mr Michiaki Hirose visit to Australia
We had the privilege of hosting the Chair of our counterpart organisation JABCC, Mr Michiaki Hirose along with senior executives from the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tokyo Gas, during their visit to Australia last week.
In a whirlwind tour across Sydney, Canberra, Cowra, Adelaide, and Perth, Mr. Hirose engaged with ministers from federal and state governments and toured various industry facilities, highlighting the diverse and robust business partnership between Australia and Japan.
In Perth, a select group of AJBCC members, including former Ambassador to Japan and Premier of Western Australia Hon. Richard Court AC, convened for a productive lunch discussion hosted by our CEO Richard Andrews.
At the end of the week in Sydney, AJBCC Board members joined Mr Hirose and colleagues for a dinner hosted by AJBCC President Peter Grey, fostering lively discussions about the upcoming Nagoya conference and expressing warm appreciation for Mr. Hirose’s leadership.
Mr. Hirose’s visit marks his second trip to Australia this year, underscoring the strong bonds between our organisations and his personal commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation.
