Hiroumi Suzuki joined Marubeni Corporation in 1999. He is currently General Manager for New Energy Business Development Division in Marubeni Australia Ltd., which covers Hydrogen, Ammonia, Next-Gen Fuel (Sustainable Aviation Fuel, etc) in Australia. He is also in charge of Energy business such as LNG, Oil & Gas etc. in Australia.

He worked in the LNG industry for more than 10 years, mainly in Qatar LNG Project, and during such time he seconded to Qatargas Operation Company from 2009 to 2012 as Head of QG1 LNG Sales Administration. After the assignment in LNG area, he was moved to planning section in Energy Division, Energy&Metals Group etc. in Marubeni Corp from 2013 to 2020.

He came to Australia from 2022 as General Manager of Energy Dept in Perth and Deputy General Manager of Perth Branch Office, and became General Manager for New Energy Business Development Division in July 2023, then moved to Sydney from Jan 2024.
