Clare is a corporate energy and resources lawyer with over 20 years of experience working in Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo. Clare provides legal and strategic advice in relation to the development of major projects, and the sale and purchase of interests in those major projects, as well as advising on associated documentation such as farm-in and joint venture agreements, Production Sharing Agreements, State Agreements, oil and gas supply agreements, LNG offtake agreements, power purchase agreements, infrastructure access and sharing agreements and other resources and infrastructure related documentation.

Clare has particular expertise in energy transition, and has advised on development, sales and divestments of wind, solar and BESS projects, as well as CCS (including CCS as a service (CCSaaS)), blue and green ammonia projects, wave energy projects and other carbon credit generating projects in Western Australia and globally. Clare also advised on the world’s first carbon neutral condensate cargo from Western Australia’s Pluto Project.

Clare is a member of the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Committee’s clean energy sub-committee and works with and advises many trading houses and utility companies in relation to their operations and activities in Australia.
