Brett Capper

General Manager Studies Asia Pacific and Project Shaping at Rio Tinto

Brett Capper is currently the General Manager Studies Asia Pacific and Project Shaping at Rio Tinto, where he leads multiple teams’ delivery of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, as well as working to ensure all projects across Rio Tinto as strategically aligned to the business. Previously he spent several years as the Study Director of the Jadar Lithium Project and sat on the Battery Materials Leadership Team.

With a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (Honours) from The University of Queensland, Brett combines technical proficiency with strategic vision. He is also a Chartered Professional Engineer, Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
