15 Mar Energy Partnership Conference Speaker Alert: Martijn Wilder AM
We are thrilled to announce Martijn Wilder AM, Chair of the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation, as our special guest speaker for the Welcome Dinner at our upcoming conference Transitioning the Australia-Japan Energy Partnership Towards a Carbon-Neutral 2050 in Adelaide on Friday 11 April.
Martijn is pre-eminently qualified to set the scene for the discussions that will take place in the conference sessions on 12 April, standing at the intersection between government and business. He is the Founder and CEO of the climate change investment and advisory firm Pollination and current chair of the Governing Board of the REEEP – Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership based in Vienna; an Adjunct Professor of International Climate Change Law at The Australian National University, a Senior Advisor to Serendipity Capital, and a Member of the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists. Previously, he led Baker & McKenzie’s global climate law and finance practice for twenty years, contributing significantly to Australia’s clean energy finance landscape.
Martijn has also served as President of WWF-Australia, Chair of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), a former Founding Director of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), and he helped to establish and later chaired the Federal Government’s Low Carbon Australia finance body. He was also Chair of the Victorian Government’s independent expert panel on Victoria’s 2035 Climate Change target. His his contributions to climate change law and the environment have been recognised by his appointment as a member of the Order of Australia (AM).
