Earthquake In Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan

On behalf of the Australia-Japan business community, we express our profound sadness at the loss of life, displacement of people from their homes and destruction of property that has occurred as a result of the earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on 1 January, and the subsequent collision of two planes at Haneda airport in Tokyo on 2 January. As ever, our thoughts are with the Government and people of Japan as they face these difficult challenges.
