Tracking the strong growth in passenger traffic on the direct Australia-Japan route, Qantas increased its services with direct flights from Sydney to Sapporo from last month. The service, especially targeting the seasonal skiing trade, operates on a seasonal basis Dec-March.
Virgin Australia, which recently announced the inauguration of its Brisbane-Haneda service, has followed up with the establishment of an alliance with All Nippon Airways (ANA), giving Virgin customers a seamless connection with ANA’s domestic Japan network.
