Reciprocal Program: Targets Science Collaboration

“The Australia Japan Emerging Research Leaders Exchange Program (ERLEP) is targeted at mid-career researchers of both countries, who are emerging leaders in the Science and Technology community, with their research established but international linkages in need of further development.”

This program, funded by the Australian Government, is administered by ATSE (The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering) “an independent body of more than 800 Australian scientists and engineers seeking to enhance Australia’s prosperity through technological innovation.”

8 Japanese researchers and an industry representative will visit Australia in October for two weeks to meet relevant researchers and organisations. The Japanese researchers are drawn from the following fields:

  • Ageing
  • New Materials, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology
  • Power systems
  • Information Technology

8 Australian researchers will travel to Japan in 2016. Further information is available from ATSE here.
