- 1985: Legacy banks of Mizuho established local subsidiaries in Australia
- 2002: Australian entities reorganized into Mizuho Corporate Bank Sydney Branch
- 2013: Changed its name to Mizuho Bank Sydney Branch
- 2015: Signed a MOU with Austrade for collaborations in Japanese corporates’ investments to Australia
- 2018: Mizuho Securities Asia Sydney Office opened
