Ray is currently the strategy and Corporate Affairs lead at Mitsui & Co., Australia. He advises on business strategy, government engagement and corporate communications across Mitsui’s business portfolio of investments in Australia and New Zealand.

Ray is currently Chair of the AJBCC Future Leaders and is a Japanese speaker.

Prior to joining Mitsui in 2020, Ray worked for the Australian Federal Government at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade). Based in Melbourne, Ray also worked on assignments at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo and as Consul / Assistant Trade Commissioner at the Australian Consulate-General Osaka.
