AMCER Consulting was established in September 2019 specifically to support market entry for an Australian cyber technology company. Early work included market entry analysis, introductions to key stakeholders in the Japanese Ministry of Defence (JMOD) and assistance during Team Defence Australia (TDA) trade missions.

AMCER is a highly trusted adviser to industry leaders on the Japanese defence market and the JMOD.

Michael Hadlow, Defence and Security Lead, is the AJBCC  nominated representative and is based in Perth, WA.   

Global Decarbonisation Advisory, (GDA), are a boutique advisory firm supporting the global transition to a decarbonised economy and future. GDA have extensive experience across the energy and mining sector in both public and private capacities, delivering beneficial projects and policy outcomes.

Specialising in the decarbonisation of the energy, mineral extraction and processing, and transport sectors, along with carbon markets and their utilisation, GDA provide consulting and advisory services for projects, regulatory frameworks, and investors.

A strong global network and understanding of hydrogen markets, regulatory frameworks and commercial arrangements in this emerging market, has provided many opportunities to work with Japanese and Australian companies looking to develop these markets.

Nick Smith, Managing Director, will be the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Adelaide, SA.  

Established in 2015, GVP provides hands-on support to Australian startups looking to enter the Japanese market. From Sales and Go-to-Market strategies, to executing PoCs and identifying strategic partners and investors, we work with founders to overcome language and cultural barriers to unlock new opportunities for market expansion into Japan. Successfully supporting HIVERY (AI RetailTech spin off from the CSIRO’s Data61) to enter and establish a subsidiary in Japan, GVP is now supporting numerous Australian startups in emerging innovation sectors.

Hideaki Yoshimura, Founder & CEO, will be the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Sydney, NSW.

Our Partners and Senior Advisers have been at the forefront of some of the largest and most successful infrastructure, property, resources and energy projects in Australia.

We focus on supporting investors from Japan and other countries in finding the right projects and the right partners to successfully enter the Australian market and expand investments into growth sectors. We act as partners to investment teams and executives, supporting them in gaining the knowledge and understanding of opportunities. We help secure approvals through investment committee processes of both local partners and Japanese based teams to make successful investments.

Jason de Sousa, Managing Partner, will be the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Sydney, NSW.  

Low Emission Technology Australia (LETA) is a A$700 million fund established in 2006 by the Australian black coal industry (which provided exports to Japan worth $53.4b in 2022-23 and together with natural gas accounted for 75% of Australia’s exports to Japan) to invest in technologies that significantly reduce emissions and support the transition to a low emission global economy, in line with the Paris Agreement. LETA partners with government, research institutions, universities and industry locally and internationally (LETA is partnering with major Japanese industrial customers and transport companies to explore carbon dioxide (CO2) transport technologies, and with major industrial customers to consider carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects) to develop projects that can, over time, reduce and remove greenhouse gas emissions from large-scale industrial processes such as power generation, steel and cement manufacturing, mining, and future energy sources such as cleaner (low-carbon) hydrogen.

Damian Dwyer, Director of External Affairs, is the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Canberra, ACT.  

Lumination is an EdTech company leading the innovative integration of emerging technologies such as XR/VR and AI into education and training environments. Customers include primary and secondary schools, tertiary education providers, defence, government, and enterprise partners in Australia and the UK. With Japan being consistently ranked as one of the most innovative countries in the world, Lumination’s team of engineers, educators and software developers are poised to build and implement advanced immersive learning and AI technology into schools and workplaces; to improve learning outcomes, prepare students for jobs of the future and increase workplace capabilities.

James Forrest, CEO, will be the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Adelaide, SA. 

Trinity Indo-Pacific Partners is a multi-national strategic advisory company that works with corporations and investors to access multilateral market opportunities in Australia, India, and Japan.
