Japan will host Ireland in a historic rugby Test match at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on Saturday 11 July at 8pm (AEST). The fixture forms part of the brand-new Nations Championship series and will be the first neutral Test hosted in Australia since 2021.
The Brave Blossoms’ rivalry with Ireland stretches back to the 1991 Rugby World Cup and includes one of Japan’s most famous victories, their unforgettable triumph over Ireland at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
