See what they have to say about themselves below*.

As Australia’s largest defence company in a rapidly growing sector, every day we work to protect those who protect us. We provide Australia’s Navy, Army and Air Force with a competitive edge across domains including air, maritime, land, strategic surveillance, guided weapons and autonomy. We support almost 1,400 Australian companies as part of our $837m local supply chain. In line with Australia’s sovereign industry capability priorities, we work with these local businesses to transform industry and provide the Australian Defence Force the capability advantage it needs.

BAE Systems has a strategic partnership with Japan and MHI for the sixth-generation global combat air programme. This partnership has created flow-on export and import opportunities for the BAE Systems Australia and Japan in Australia. BAE Systems has chosen Japan as the next home market for the company.

William Gibaud, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, BAE Systems Australia, will be the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Canberra, ACT.

I provide advice and services to government and business on energy and climate change, drawing on expertise and experience gained as an engineer, public service head and chairman.

As a Victorian Government Secretary, I chaired the Steering Committee which reached agreement in 2017 on a $500 million project to establish a pilot Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) between Victoria and Japan. Through my company, I was independent chair of the triparty Task Force to commercialise the HESC, from 2023-25.

I have addressed and moderated several AJBCC and JABCC conference sessions on decarbonising energy trade and investment between Japan and Australia.

Richard Bolt, Director, will be the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Melbourne, VIC.

Spinnaker is an Australian funds management platform focused on delivering returns in the living sector. The team currently has four live joint ventures with the Government of Western Australia to deliver critical infrastructure as well as a diversified property fund. Spinnaker’s flagship diversified property fund has outperformed its returns target since it was established two years ago.

Spinnaker aims to raise its next round of capital for its Australian living sector projects, in particular, Australian build to rent projects, from Japanese institutional investors given Spinnaker’s management prior work with and experience advising Japanese institutions.

Spinnaker Capital is led by Vikram Kumar, who previously worked as a management consultant at Bain in Sydney and as an M&A lawyer in Perth, Sydney and Tokyo.

Vikram Kumar, Director, will be the AJBCC nominated representative and is based in Perth, WA.
