About the Role
The Events and Communications Coordinator supports the delivery of a range of events and communication activities aimed at strengthening the business relationship between Australia and Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Management:
- Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of a variety of events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, roundtable meetings, and networking functions.
- Manage event logistics, including venue hire, catering, AV equipment, and speaker coordination.
- Liaise with external vendors and suppliers.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, invitations, and promotional materials.
- Manage event registrations and attendee communications.
- Communications and Marketing:
- Assist in the development and implementation of the AJBCC’s communications strategy.
- Create and distribute engaging content, including social media posts, and blog posts.
- Create and manage content for the AJBCC’s website and social media channels.
- Assist in the production of marketing materials, such as brochures and flyers.
- Support media and public relations activities.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the team, including data entry, filing, and report writing.
- Support database updates and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with membership recruitment and retention activities.
Selection Criteria:
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in event planning and management is desirable.
- Knowledge of design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is highly desirable.
- A strong interest in Australia-Japan international business and cultural exchange.
- Fluency in English language is essential, Japanese language knowledge is desirable.
