04 Nov JBC61 side event: Innovation Alliance Forum
A fantastic day at the Australia-Japan Innovation Alliance Forum: Smart Society Towards 2030! Held at Nagoya Innovator’s Garage, we brought together innovators, thought leaders, and industry experts to explore how technology and innovation can solve key societal challenges in mobility, advanced manufacturing, robotics, AI, aged care, and more!
Key takeaways:
- It’s time to move from the “start-up” phase to the “scale-up” phase! We must now focus on turning our ideas and concepts into structured, system-supported initiatives
- The Australia-Japan bilateral relationship is thriving, but now is the time to capitalise on the momentum and deepen innovation collaborations.
- There is immense potential in creating new networks that foster innovation and translate ideas into commercial success. These networks will be crucial for both the AJBCC and the broader Australia-Japan partnership.
A special thank you to: Nagoya Innovators’ Garage for hosting us and connecting us to the local innovation ecosystem; our event partners and supporters for enabling this event to be free of charge; and the AJBCC Innovation, Technology, and Startups Advisory Committee, especially Hideaki Yoshimura and Tim McLennan, for leading this initiative throughout the year.
We’re excited to see the new ideas, business models, and partnerships that will continue to drive the Australia-Japan innovation alliance forward!
