04 Nov Day 2 of the 61st Annual Australia-Japan Joint Business Conference
Day 2 kicked off with the Opening Ceremony at the Nagoya Kanko Hotel, led by JABCC Chairman Michiaki Hirose and AJBCC President Peter Grey, marking the biggest day of the conference! We were honoured to hear messages from both the Prime Ministers of Japan and Australia, presented by their respective Ambassadors. The Governor of Aichi Prefecture, Hideaki Ohmura, officially welcomed us to Nagoya.
The Hon. Madeleine King MP, Australia’s Minister for Resources and Minister for Northern Australia, delivered an impactful in-person address, and Mr Yoji Muto, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, greeted us via video. A big thank you to Minister King for making the journey to join us in person!

- Innovation and Technology for the future
We closed the day with a memorable dinner at Tokyu Hotel, featuring a French menu, a local dance performance, and warm remarks from the Chairman of the Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
