AJBCC working lunch with Koizumi Shinjiro

AJBCC working lunch with Koizumi Shinjiro

On Monday 8th August, we were privileged to host a working lunch with Japanese political leaders Koizumi Shinjiro and Nishino Daisuke. A lively discussion was held on the challenges facing Australia-Japan energy trade in the era of decarbonisation.

AJBCC President Peter Grey and Vice President Debra Hazelton GAICD co-hosted the delegation which shared insights on Japan’s net zero commitment, the role of alternative sources of energy such as hydrogen and the consequences of the recent election result in Australia for energy trade.

Many thanks to our Vice-President Debra Hazelton GAICD for making AMP’s wonderful new building (itself a fine example of world-leading environmental technology here in Australia) available for the event! Kudos to DFAT for organising the visit.
